Ankara, 23 Dzulhijjah 1436/7 October 2015 (MINA) – Political bureau member of Hamas Ezzet Resheq Monday called for stepping up resistance and activism to defend the holy al-Aqsa Mosque against Israel’s state terrorism.

“We strongly push for an intifada (uprising) and for stepping up resistance everywhere across the occupied Palestinian territories,” said Resheq, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

He said the very plazas of the holy al-Aqsa Mosque are going to fan the flames of an intifada, led by Palestinian youths, activists, and sit-inners.

“As long as Israeli crimes and aggressions on the holy al-Aqsa have not been brought to a halt, the Israeli occupation shall never ever have a moment of rest,” he said.

“Resistance is Palestinians’ legitimate key to restore their rights, freedom, soil, and holy sites,” Resheq added.

The Hamas leader warned of underway Israeli schemes to spatio-temporally divide the Mosque between Muslim worshipers and fanatic Israelis.

He spoke out against the mounting break-ins at al-Aqsa by Israeli vandals and the age restrictions imposed on the Muslim congregation.

He branded Israel’s simmering aggressions “proofs of state terrorism”.

“But none of such schemes shall ever see the day. It is just out of the question that Palestinians might forfeit a single inch of their land,” Resheq stated.

He added that any attack on al-Aqsa Mosque—the third holiest site in Islam—is also an attack on the Muslim Nation, for al-Aqsa “belongs to every single Muslim across the globe.”

Resheq hailed Turkey’s and Erdogan’s pro-Palestine positions and support for the holy al-Aqsa Mosque.(T/P008/R03)
