Jakarta, 17 Rabi’ul Awwal 1437/28 December 2015 (MINA) – The Indonesian Minister of Tourism Arif Yahya said, one of the main target of the government until the next 5 years is to increase the number of foreign tourist visit from 10 million to 20 million people.

He said, to achieve these targets, the government set up an tourism authorities, Berita Satu quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting, Monday (28/12).

The tourism authority is responsible for developing 10 tourism destinations in Indonesia outside Bali.

He said the Tourism Authority Board is responsible to the President cooperating with the Ministry of maritime Affairs, Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Public Works.

He explained that the Lake Toba in North Sumatra will serve as a pilot project in which the Tourism Authority is authorized to establish a basic infrastructure, internet and hospitality facilities.

Arief said after Lake Toba, the following destinations that will be developed are Pulau Seribu, Borobudur, Bromo, South Lombok, Mandalika, Flores, Labuhan Bajo and Raja Ampat.

Arief explained by the Tourism Authority will makes the management becomes more efficient and simple.(TL/P008/R03)
