Gaza, MINA – Four Israeli occupation soldiers were killed in what Israeli media described as a “serious incident” during clashes with Palestinian resistance forces in the northern Gaza Strip.
According to the Israeli news outlet Hadashot Bazman, the soldiers, members of an armored corps unit, were killed by an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza, Al Mayadeen reported.
At dawn, resistance fighters detonated explosives targeting an Israeli tank crew in Jabalia, then opened fire on the tank and its commander, setting it ablaze and killing the crew, the reports said. Israeli media confirmed that a helicopter later landed at Ichilov Hospital to evacuate casualties from Gaza.
The operation coincided with a separate shooting attack in occupied Jerusalem, where six Israeli settlers were killed.

The Palestinian resistance movement said the Gaza operation took place near Salah al-Din Mosque and al-Zaytoun Clinic on August 31. The statement noted that details of the attack were only released after fighters returned from the front lines.
Al-Qassam Brigades further recalled that on August 30, its fighters had struck an Israeli Merkava tank and a D9 military bulldozer on Road 8, southwest of al-Zaytoun, using Yassin-105 shells and Shawaz explosives.
The group has also stepped up coordination with the al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, carrying out joint strikes on Israeli command posts in Khan Younis, Rafah, and Gaza City using mortars, anti-tank missiles, and IEDs.
Israeli military sources have acknowledged the increasing effectiveness of Palestinian resistance tactics, noting that Hamas fighters are becoming “more organized in combat” and increasingly bold in confronting occupation forces.[]
