EU-TURKEY SUMMIT TO BE HELD ON NOV.29

Brussels, 15 Safar 1437/26 November 2015 (MINA) – European Council President Donald Tusk has summoned EU leaders and Turkey to gather in Brussels in an attempt to solve the refugee crisis.

”I call EU-Turkey summit on Sunday 29 November at 16h. Purpose: Re-energize our relations & stem migration flow,” Tusk tweeted late Monday, Anadolu Agency quated by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA).

Tusk said he decided to call the summit following a phone conversation with Turkey’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Monday.

EU and Turkey are in the process of negotiating a refugee action plan, under which the bloc has offered Ankara funding in exchange for stemming the flow of refugees trying to enter the Europe. (T/P010/R03)
