Egyptian President Receives King Salman in Sharm El-Sheikh

Sharm El-Sheikh, MINA – Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi accepted Saudi Arabian leader King Salman on Saturday afternoon at Sharm El-Sheikh Airport, ahead of a summit with leaders of the Arab League and the European Union.

An official reception ceremony was held for King Salman upon his arrival, the Egyptian news agency, MENA, reported.

The European Union (EU) said climate change, terrorism and the development of security migration will be discussed during the two-day summit, which began on Sunday.

As 24 leaders from 28 EU countries, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister Theresa May, as well as leaders from 21 Arab countries, will take part.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister said the meeting would also focus on Middle East stability, terrorism, illegal migration and the entry of refugees into Europe.

Other Arab leaders who arrived in Sharm El-Sheikh on Saturday included Yemeni, Palestinian, Tunisian, Moroccan and Somali Presidents. (T/Sj/P2)
