Bontang Refinery Built, Its Oil Import from Oman
Jakarta, MINA – Finally the refinery at Grass Root Refinery (GRR) Bontang, East Kalimantan will be built. PT Pertamina (Persero) has announced a consortium of Overseas Oil and Gas LLC (OOG) and Cosmo Oil International Pte Ltd (COI) will partner to work on the refinery.
Later the consortium will cooperate with Pertamina in the form to build a refinery with a capacity of 300 barrels per day (bpd).
The investment value is estimated at US $ 10 billion or equivalent to Rp 135 trillion.
Director of Pertamina’s Pertamina Processing and Petrochemical Center Ardhy N Mokobombang said Tuesday that one of the reasons the company chose the two companies based on their background.
OOG, the company from Oman is believed to be able to supply crude oil for the needs of the refinery.
