AQSA WORKING GROUP AND MI’RAJ ISLAMIC NEWS AGENCY DISTRIBUTE AIDS TO GAZANS

Gaza City, 29 Ramadan 1435/27 July 2014 (MINA) – Aqsa Working Group (AWG), Muslims forum for freeing al-Aqsa Mosque in cooperation with Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) distributed donations from Indonesian people to Gaza, Saturday.

The donations consisted of cash for orphans and staple food packages for the poor and Internal Displace Persons/IDP that were hit by Israeli occupation regime aggression since the beginning of Ramadan.

AWG’s volunteers from Indonesia in Gaza distributed the humanitarian aid directly . They visited Gazans’ houses to deliver the aid.

They distributed the aid by utilizing 12-hour ceasefire agreed by Zionist Israel and Palestine (Gaza Time 8:00 to 20:00 o’clock).

“Thanks to Allah we can distribute the aid as soon as possible. Although it is in a war situation, we manage to distribute the aid. It is a good moment where people in Gaza urgently need the aid, ” Mohammed Gulam Romdony, one of AWG’s volunteer in Gaza told MINA’s Correspondent.
Gulam added, the humanitarian agency, AWG would continue delivering aid to Palestinians as Indonesians have entrusted the organization to do the humanitarian mission.

AWG’s donations come from Indonesian people in Jakarta, Kupang, Ambon, Bogor, Lampung, Jambi, West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, West Java, Batam as well as from organizations such as alumni associations of universities, schools , mosque and several companies.

Israeli occupation military aggression against Gaza had caused 1030 people killed and 5,700 others injured since 20 days ago. Gazans have got a lot of sympathy internationally, including Indonesia, the largest Muslim majority country in the world.

Towards Liberation of al-Aqsha

Chairman of AWG, Agus Sudarmaji said Indonesia had close relationship with Palestinians because Palestine was the first country recognizing the independence of Indonesia in 1945.

Indonesia as the largest Muslim country in the world also participated actively in the struggle to free al-Aqsha mosque, the first Muslims’ Qibla from the Israeli occupation.

Agus Sudarmaji said, Aqsa Working Group focused on al-Aqsha and Palestine problems. He asked Muslims all over the world to take active role in freeing al-Aqsha mosque from Zionist Israel.

Aqsa Working Group held international conference in Bandung In 2012. It was attended by representatives from various Muslim countries the world.

The conference achieved a significant deal, that is planning a conference of world level in Gaza for freeing al-Aqsa mosque.
“The international conference that will be held in Gaza is very important in unifying vision and mission of entire Muslims in the world,” Agus Sudarmaji told MINA’s reporter, Sunday early morning.

Aqsa Working Group (AWG) is institution set up for accommodating and managing Muslims efforts in freeing Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Establishment of AWG institution was based on decision of al-Aqsa International Conference in Jakarta, on 20 Sha’ban 1429H or 21August 2008.

Al-Aqsa International Conference was attended by leaders of Islamic mass organizations, Embassy of some Muslim countries, leaders of educational institutions in general and Islamic education, leaders of sermon institutions, leaders of Islamic mass media and a number of individuals who concentrate on the liberation of al-Aqsa mosque.(L/K01/Syt/E01)
