KINGDOM OPEN TO MEETING YEMEN POLITICAL FACTIONS
Riyadh, 11 Jumadil Akhir 1436/31 March 2015 (MINA) – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman chaired the Cabinet’s session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon.
At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the results of his talks, meetings, consultations, messages and communications held with the leaders of brotherly and friendly countries, during which they reviewed the bilateral relations and the overall situations at the regional and international arenas, and in which various countries have expressed their support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Decisive Storm Operation and their readiness to provide all kinds of support that the Kingdom may need whenever it is requested, Arab News quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed in this context his thanks and appreciation to the countries participating in the Decisive Storm Operation and countries supporting this operation all over the world, which will contribute to supporting peace and security in the region and the world, reaffirming that the Kingdom is open to all Yemeni political strata wishing to maintain Yemen’s security and stability to meet under the umbrella of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States in the framework of adhering to the legitimacy, refusing the coup against it, and ensuring the return of the state to extend its authority over all Yemeni territories, the return of the arms to the state, and non-threatening of the security of neighboring states.
The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for the wise decision taken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the brotherly and friendly countries participating in the Determination Storm Operation in response to the request of President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi of the Republic of Yemen to protect Yemen and its people from the aggression of Houthi militias supported by regional powers aiming to spread their hegemony over Yemen and make it a base for their influence in the region, as well as the President’s request to help Yemen in the face of terrorist organizations.
