THAI EMBASSY HOLDS HALAL FOOD AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL 2015
Islamabad, 8 Jumadil Awwal 1436/27 February 2015 (MINA) – The Royal Thai Embassy Islamabad, in collaboration with the Marriott Hotel, proudly presented the Thai Halal Food and Cultural Festival 2015.
The reception to launch the festival at the Royal Thai Embassy mesmerised the audience with beautiful décor and an outstanding performance by Thai cultural troupe. All enjoyed the tasteful and delicious authentic Thai halal food buffet while enjoying Thai cultural dances by Sbun-Nga Chiang Mai Performance Troupe, who have come all the way from Thailand for this event, Dailytimes quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
The Thai Halal Food and Cultural Festival 2015 not only seeks to build confidence in the quality of Thai halal products, but also acts as a window to the culture of Thailand, which reflects customs and traditions from different parts of the country. By providing a glimpse to the multi-cultural society of Thailand, the Royal Thai Embassy hopes to create understanding and enticement for the people of Pakistan to further explore the country.
Strengthening ties between Pakistan and Thailand through trade and people-to-people contacts is part of Thailand’s policy on regional connectivity. This, in turn, will elevate the existing cordial relations to new heights.
In his speech, Tomwit Jarnson – Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan and Regional Dean of ASEAN – thanked and welcomed the distinguished ambassadors and high commissioners, members of civil society and media. He said that Thai hilal food and cultural festival not only tried to find and further build confidence in the quality of Thai halal products but also acted as a gateway to the culture of Thailand which reflects the traditions from different parts of country.
