Beijing, MINA – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has rejected the proposal put forth by US President Donald Trump to take control of Gaza, as reported by Xinhua News Agency on Friday.
“China supports the plan for restoring peace in Gaza initiated by Egypt and other Arab nations. Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and is an inseparable part of Palestinian territory,” said Wang during a press conference at China’s annual legislative session, as reported by Anadolu Agency.
He emphasized that any forced alteration of Gaza’s status would only result in “new chaos.”
Wang called on the international community to push for a durable ceasefire, increase humanitarian aid, and uphold the principle of “Palestinians governing Palestine.”

He reiterated China’s unwavering support for Palestinian statehood and the two-state solution as the cornerstone for resolving the Middle East conflict.
“All Palestinian factions must adhere to the Beijing Declaration in order to achieve unity and self-strengthening,” he added, calling for global efforts to foster peace between Palestine and Israel.
China will “continue to resolutely advocate for justice, peace, and development for the people of the Middle East,” he concluded. []
