Philippine Scholar Reminds Muslims about Urgency of Brotherhood

South Lampung, MINA – Ukhuwah Islamiyah (brotherhood) takes an important position in Islam. But unfortunately many of Muslims don’t realize it.

This fact was expressed by Syaikh Abu Bakar at Tabligh Akbar Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) event at Al Fatah Islamic Boarding School, Muhajirun, Lampung, Saturday night.

“Ukhuwah in Islam is not realized well by most Muslims,” said this Scholar from Philippines in front of six thousand Muslims who attended Tabligh Akbar with the main theme “Strengthening Aqeedah Knitting Ukhuwwah Islamiyah As Implementation of Islam Rahmatan lil Alamiin”.

Brotherhood in Islam, he stressed, was far stronger than brotherhood.

“The brotherhood has been cut off due to religious differences. But, Islamic brotherhood will not be interrupted due to differences in bloodline (nasab), “he explained when delivering Arabic-language material translated by Ustaz Taufiqurrahman.

On that basis, he continued, the Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu’alaihi wa sallam ordered Muslims to avoid prejudiced to each other. This command can be known through the sayings and behavior of Prophet Shallallahu’alaihi wa sallam.

Among his efforts, Prophet Salallaahu’alaihi wa sallam established ukhuwah Islamiyah by making a friendship between the Muhajirites of Mecca and the Anshor from Medina and reconciling the tribes of Aus and Khazraj. (TL/Sj/P2)
