Malaysian Islamic Marketing and Trade Board Visits MINA News Agency

Jakarta, MINA – The International Islamic Marketing and Trade Board (DPPIA) or also known as the World Islamic Marketing and Trade Chamber (WIMTC) headquartered in Malaysia is going to explore cooperation with MINA (Mi’raj News Agency) News Agency in marketing and promotion of halal products made by Muslims.

President of DPPIA/WIMTC, Zuraini Binti Hasanuddin with Deputy President Zuber Bin Bakri visited to the Head Office of the MINA News Agency in Jakarta, Monday, received by the General Director MINA News Shafril Lubis and MINA Editor in Chief Ismet Rauf.

DPPIA or WIMTC is an NGO that specializes in international marketing and trade with a focus on expanding Malaysian Halal industry and other Muslim countries to the world market.

“We hope that with this discussion space, cooperation between DPPIA / WIMTC and MINA will be established to realize the shared benefits of activities that will be planned and implemented in the future,” Zuraini said.

He said, this visit was also intended to prepare the B2B Matching Business Special Mission Program between Malaysian SME entrepreneurs and Indonesian buyers that to be held next July.

Zuraini acknowledged that Indonesia was the country that became the target market or the largest market for halal products in the world.

Meanwhile, the Deputy President of DPPIA/WIMTC Zubeir said, there have been many countries that develop halal lifestyles in their lives, even though they were not Muslim countries or Muslim majority.

Responding to this, the General Head of MINA News Agency Shafril Lubis expressed his appreciation for the exploration of cooperation between DPPIA / WIMTC Malaysia which has further promoted halal products from Muslim entrepreneurs in Malaysia and other countries.

The data of the Global Islamic Economic Report 2017/2018 shows the potential of the halal industry globally reaches $ 2 billion in 2016 and projected to increase $ 3.1 billion ini 2022. (TL/Sj/P2)
