9th Beit Al-Maqdis Conference Kicks off in Istanbul
Istanbul, MINA – The so-called Ruwad Beit al-Maqdis Conference, staged by the International Coalition to Support Jerusalem and Palestine, kicked off in Istanbul on Friday.
700 participants are expected to take part in the two-day conference, held under the slogan “a steadfast people . . . a giving nation”, to discuss ways to support Occupied Jerusalem and the Palestinian cause.
Speaking at the opening address, member of Sudan’s National Congress Leadership Office, Abdul Jalil al-Karouri recited verses of the Holy Koran and denounced the Israeli violations against the Muslim worshipers at holy al-Aqsa Mosque, dubbing them “an earthquake befalling Arabs and Muslims.”
He acclaimed the role played by Beit al-Maqdis Conference in propping Palestinians’ steadfastness in the face of the Israeli crackdowns and violations at al-Aqsa Mosque.(R/R04/RS5)
