Al-Quds (Ocupied Jerusalem), 14 Rabi’ul Akhir 1436/4 February 2015 (MINA) – A total of 965 Israelis stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound in East Jerusalem during January alone, according to a Palestinian non-governmental organization.
Al-Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and Heritage reported that a total of 965 Israelis stormed the Mosque during January, including 722 settlers, 181 Israeli occupation forces and intelligence officers, 16 Israeli Antiquities Ministry architects, four employees of Israel news Channel 2 and 10 reporters in addition to a 42-member Foreign Ministry delegation.
Protected by Israeli police, Israelis force their way into the Mosque through Bab Al-Maghariba, also known as the Dung Gate, Wafa News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting, Tuesday.
According to the foundation’s statistics, 25 Muslim worshippers, mostly women, were banned entry into the compound for a period ranging between two weeks and two months.
The foundation noted that each banned worshipper had been forced to sign papers or fined, detained while inside the compound or upon exit, interrogated and issued a military order banning him/her from entry or summoning him/her to appear before a military court.
The upshot of all of this was receiving a ban court ruling.(T/P008/P3)
