Ramallah, MINA — World leaders and statesmen called President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday to check on his health following his hospitalization for lung infection.
According to Palestinian news agency WAFA, President Abbas received calls from his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyib Erdogan, Iraqi President Fouad Masoum, the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa, King Mohammad VI of Morocco, and Prince Hasan bin Talal of Jordan, Prime Minister Hani Mulqi and his Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, among other officials.
The President was still recovering in hospital in Ramallah and reported to be in good health and would most likely leave hospital in the coming few days.
President Abbas icould remain in hospital for several days, Palestinian medics and officials said on Monday.
