Gaza, MINA – Yemeni media sources reported that the United States carried out 15 airstrikes on various areas in Saada Governorate and the capital, Sanaa, early Tuesday. The strikes also hit Kamaran Island, west of Hodeidah, as part of escalating military operations, Palestine Chronicle reported.
According to reports, the airstrikes targeted locations east and south of Saada city, including the Takhiya area in Majz district and Sahar district. The attacks occurred amid uncertainty from Washington regarding whether the missile commander of the Yemeni Ansarallah movement was among those killed.
Earlier, Ansarallah forces claimed responsibility for downing a US MQ-9 drone conducting “hostile missions” over Ma’rib Governorate in central Yemen. A Pentagon official later confirmed to Al-Jazeera that the US administration was aware of reports regarding the drone’s destruction.
US President Donald Trump stated on Monday via Truth Social that recent American airstrikes had eliminated multiple Ansarallah fighters and leaders in Yemen. Since March 15, Trump has ordered intensified attacks against the group, vowing to “completely destroy” Ansarallah.

In response, Ansarallah leaders declared that such threats would not deter their support for Gaza. They resumed strikes on Israeli sites and continued targeting ships in the Red Sea, aligning their actions with renewed Israeli aggression against Gaza on March 18.
The recent Israeli offensive shattered a ceasefire that had been in place since January 19. The renewed military campaign has resulted in hundreds of Palestinian casualties, primarily civilians, including women and children.
Despite international condemnation from multiple countries and human rights organizations, the US continues its military and diplomatic backing of Israel. Washington maintains that the military actions were pre-approved and coordinated. []
