UNSC Meets at Kuwait’s Request to Discuss Bloody Events in Gaza

Israeli forces directly fired on Palestinians Friday as they marched in a peaceful demonstration demanding the right of return for refugees.

New York, MINA – UN Security Council (UNSC) would meet later Friday at request of Kuwait to discuss developments in Gaza Strip and Palestinian territories, where Israeli forces killed 15 peaceful demonstrators and injured over 1,400 others, KUNA reported.

Palestinians were marking the Land Day which commemorate their right of return to their home towns, demanding implementation of UN resolution 194.

The Israeli forces opened fire at the peaceful demonstrators killing 15 of them and injuring over 1,400 others.

It was the bloodiest day in Gaza since the 2014 cross-border war between Israel and Hamas. (T/RS5/RS1)
