Tunis, 12 Ramadan 1436/29 June 2015 (MINA) -Tunisia’s President Beji Caid Essebsi has said that his country cannot face terrorists alone, Agence France-Presse reported on Friday.
He was speaking in the wake of the terrorist attack in which 38 tourists and locals were killed at their coastal holiday resort.
Speaking at the hotel where the attack took place, Essebsi said: “Today, we recognised that Tunis is facing a global movement and we cannot face it alone. The proof is that similar attacks targeted France and Kuwait at the same time.”
This, he added, pushes the world to adopt a comprehensive strategy to face Jihadists. “All democratic states have to unite to face this phenomenon.” Middle East Monitor (Memo) reports as quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA).
