Jakarta, MINA – Deputy Chief of Mission/Counselor the Embassy of the State of Palestine , H.E Taher Ibrahim Hamad explained the Palestinian Independence Road Map in front of young intellectuals who attended the national seminar on “Intellectual Responsibility in Liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian Independence” held at the University of Indonesia (UI) Salemba Building, Jakarta, Saturday (8/24).
“First, there are currently 138 member states of the United Nations that recognize Palestine. This achievement is quite good and we are also members of UN agencies, “said Hammad.
Taher explained that what important is that Israeli Zionists could no longer talk about the Palestinian territories. “Both Israel and the Palestinians must fulfill international agreements that have agreed before,” he added.
Hammad explained, the Palestinian government sought the release of prisoners currently in Israeli-jails. “There are approximately 7,000 of our people in Israeli jails,” he said.
The next step is to move Palestinian refugees who are currently scattered in various regions in Arab countries, such as Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and others.
However, Hammad considers the two-state solution to be the most challenging for the Palestinian people.
