Salfit, MINA – Eyewitnesses reported on Saturday morning that Israeli settlers’ bulldozers razed an Islamic Waqf (endowment) land near Ezbat Abu al-Basal to the west of Salfit.
They said that a large factory was previously built on this land by settlers to be part of factories belonging to the nearby Ariel settlement, PIC reported.
For his part, Palestinian researcher Khalid Maali said that settlers have seized part of the Islamic Waqf lands in Salfit in the land-razing operations conducted in the industrial area of Ariel settlement.
Maali affirmed that Israel’s settlement expansionist practices in the West Bank, which violate international humanitarian law, constitute a prelude to ending the Palestinian state dream by dividing the West Bank into isolated cantons.(R/R04/P2)
