Pathorkeela Julapara, 18 Jumadil Awwal 1436/9 March 2015 (MINA) – Authorities have asked Rohingya Muslims to avacuate the makeshift shelters at Pathorkeela Julapara, Rohang char, Akyab, according to our correspondent.

The former homes of Muslims in this area was destroyed by mobs during the riots of 2012, Rohingya News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Since then they have been living in makeshift shelters constructed by the government. Under this arrangement 8-10 families stay under one roof.

Now the government says to evacuate the area as Rakhine Buddhists are expected to move in the area.

Rohingyas say that they might break the shelters but take the construction materials with them to build shelters somewhere else.(P004/R03)
