Doha, 22 Rabi’ul Awwal 1436/13 January 2015 (MINA) – The Qatari foreign minister, Khaled al-Attiya, denied press reports that his country has asked Khaled Mishaal, the political bureau chairman of Hamas, to leave the country.

Addressing a joint press conference with visiting Venezuelan foreign minister Delcy Eloina Gomez on Monday, The Palestinian Information Center quoted by Miraj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Attiya said that all what have been reported about Mishaal’s departure from Doha was untrue.

Media outlets last week quoted unidentified sources as saying that Qatar had asked Mishaal to leave the country, but the office of Mishaal and political bureau member of Hamas Ezzet al-Resheq denied the report. (T/P007/P3)
