Mishaal: Jerusalem Is The Eternal Capital Of Palestine

Doha, 18 Rabi’ul Awwal 1438/18 December 2016 (MINA) – Khaled Mishaal, head of the political bureau of Hamas Movement, said in a speech addressed to the festival held on Hamas’s 29th inception anniversary in Ramallah on Saturday that he hopes the sectarian polarization in the region will end and peace will prevail.

Mishaal affirmed that all nations have the right to fight for their freedom, pointing to the worsening situation in Aleppo city in Syria and saying, “We feel sorry for what is happening in Aleppo,”the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

He added that Hamas has balanced relations with all the Arab and Muslim countries and does not interfere in their internal affairs but focuses on the conflict with the Israeli occupation.

Mishaal called on the Palestinian factions and Fatah movement to reunite, end the Palestinian division, and follow a unified resistance strategy.

He also affirmed that the Palestine Liberation Organization should include all components of the Palestinian people and factions so as to represent the entire Palestinian political spectrum.

At the end of his speech, the Hamas leader stressed that there is no compromise on Jerusalem, “the eternal capital of Palestine”.(T/P008/R07)
