President Jokowi to Attend G20 Summit in Osaka

Jakarta, MINA – President Joko Widodo is scheduled to attend the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan on 28-29 June 2019. Indonesian Foreign Minister Affairs Retno LP Marsudi will accompany the President at the event.

“Because of the tight schedule, President will only be in Osaka for two days on June 28-29,” said Indonesian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Arrmanatha Nasir at Press Breafing Press in Jakarta on Wednesday, June 26.

In addition, according to Tata, his nickname, bilateral meetings have been arranged with several countries, including Saudi Arabia and Australia.

Meanwhile, at the G20 Summit, there are four meeting sessions with different topics. These topics include, first; global economic conditions, trade and investment.

Second, digital economic innovation and quality of infrastructure. Third, employment, women’s empowerment, inclusiveness, sustainable development goals. Then fourth, the issue of climate change, energy and the environment.

There is also an issue that will be the main concern of Indonesian government at the G20 Summit, according to Arrmanatha, is inclusiveness in the digital economy and development of human resources (HR) in the framework of sustainable development. (L/Sj/P2)
