Jakarta, MINA — Indonesian presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto met Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Monday as part of his two-day visit to the city state, Antara news reported.

“The agenda of the meeting with Loong was made not long ago. As one of Prabowo`s friends, Loong greeted Prabowo while he was in Singapore,” International Relations Director of Prabowo-Sandi pair`s national campaign body, Irawan Ronodipuro, said in a written statement released on Monday.

While in Singapore, Prabowo, who is also the chief of the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party, is scheduled to become a keynote speaker at the World in 2019 Gala Dinner on Tuesday.

The event is organized by London-based magazine The Economist, which is a popular and most reliable magazine among world leaders and decision makers for its review of global social, economic, and political issues.

Ronodipuro stated that Prabowo was invited to the event to deliver his strategic views to promote the Indonesian nation and increase national economic growth.

“The international decision makers want to see Prabowo`s strategic views to make Indonesia a sovereign country which could contribute to the global economy,” he remarked.

One of Prabowo`s strategies is to promote Indonesian capability to supply bioenergy to the world by reviving 10 million hectares of degraded land to produce bioenergy, he added. (T//RS5’RS1)
