Palestinians Conduct Resistance, Not Terorist: Islamic Jihad

Gaza, MINA – Khaled Al-Batsh, a member of the Islamic Jihad Political Bureau said Hamas and Palestinian resistance factions were only defending their land, not a terrorist group.

He stressed this in response to the decision of the European court to cancel the previous court decision which declared Hamas movement and Islamic Jihad as “terrorists”.

The European Court of First Instance in Luxembourg on Friday overturned the ruling and decree appointing Hamas and its military wing, the Qassam Brigade, to enter among terrorist groups.

In an interview with Palestinian Information Center correspondent quoted by MINA on Monday, September 9, Chairman of Supreme National Committee for the March Return and Liberation Parade said Palestinian resistance movements were fighting Israeli occupiers occupying Palestinian territories.

Batsh refused to call resistance factions “terrorists”.

“Whether they consider Hamas a terrorist or delete it from the list of terrorist groups is their concern. But it was they who came to bring terrorism to Gaza and Palestine by bringing Israeli invaders in 1948, “Batsh said.

He later also explained that Palestinian resistance had foiled the “Israeli-American plan” to inflame Palestinian internal divisions.
