OIC Condemns Indonesia’s Double Bombing

Jeddah 1 Ramadan 1438/27 May 2017 (MINA) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the double suicide bombing near a bus terminal in eastern Jakarta, Indonesia on Wednesday, killing and wounding a number of innocent civilians.

The OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef A. Othaimeen, on Friday affirmed solidarity with the Indonesian government and people, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.

At least two people were killed and five others including a policeman wounded Wednesday in two explosions that took place in the Indonesian capital.

From Riyadh, KUNA reported that Saudi Arabia has also strongly condemned the double suicide bombing in Eastern Jakarta.

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday offered the Kingdom’s condolences to the victims’ families and to the Government and the people of the Republic, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.

The source reaffirmed the Kingdom’s solidarity with the Indonesia against terrorism and extremism. (T/RS5/RS1)
