Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (R) and King Mohammed VI of Morocco

Rabat, MINA – A Moroccan anti-normalization association has warned authorities in its country from welcoming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Rabat, according to Hebrew-language media reports.

Middle East Monitor (MEMO) quoted information from local media revealing, news about Netanyahu’s visit to Rabat in March or April will present a US proposal for the resolution of the conflict in Western Sahara.

Another newspaper reported that the visit was also for the inauguration of the “Salat Atiya” Synagogue in the city of West Essaouira, after reconstruction.

The non-government association said that Israel has always tried to divide the region. So, how will it support the Moroccan side in the Western Sahara conflict.

“While this issue will be used by Israel to blackmail Morocco through the Zionist lobby in America,” said the association statement.

The statement pointed out that “the Western Sahara conflict is like a cash cow for the Zionist entity. Netanyahu’s visit will only fuel tensions in Morocco.

The statement considered that, Israel is seeking to make other traps to split all the Maghreb entities through ethnic sectarianism.

Similarly, Moroccan activists demand that Netanyahu not be allowed to visit their country.

They considered via posts on social media platforms that, if made, the visit would constitute “a historic mistake”.
