MEMBER OF FATAH FACTION ARRESTED IN OCCUPIED JERUSALEM

Al-Quds, 6 Rabi’ul Awwal 1437/17 December 2015 (MINA) – The Israeli police forces arrested Thursday (17/12) morning the Jerusalemite Fatah leader Abeer Ziyad, 39, after brutally breaking into her home.

Abeer, a mother of four children, is a member of Fatah committee in occupied Jerusalem and was held more than once in Israeli jails, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Large numbers of Israeli police forces stormed and searched since the early morning hours Abeer’s family home in al-Hay al-Thawry area in the occupied city of Jerusalem.

Her personal lap top and mobile phones were confiscated during the raid. Important files were also confiscated.

Israeli police also stormed the Women’s Center, directed by Abeer.

Her husband Ziyad Ziyad was then summoned for investigation.

Nearly 40 Palestinian women are currently imprisoned by Israeli authorities, some of them are held in hospitals for being shot and injured during their detention.(T/P008//R04)
