ONE PALESTINIAN KILLED, 14 INJURED SINCE END OF GAZA OFFENSIVE
Gaza, 15 Shafar 1436/8 December 2014 (MINA) – A Palestinian was killed and 14 others injured in the Gaza Strip since a 51-day Israeli offensive on the territory came to an end on August 26, a Palestinian NGO said Saturday, (6/12).
“The injured victims included four children, while the dead victim was killed by Israeli gunfire,” the Palestinian Center for Human Rights added in a statement, ALRAY, Palestinian Media Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
It said Israel was violating an Egypt-brokered Gaza cease-fire agreement with Palestinian factions by committing what it called “these infringements” in the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian officials say Israeli army troops open their gunfire on almost a daily basis on Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of the Gaza Strip.
They add that the Israeli army also opens its gunfire on agricultural farms along Israel’s border with Gaza, which is considered by the Palestinian side as a violation of the cease-fire agreement.
Around 2,168 Palestinians were killed during Israel’s 51-day offensive on Gaza, while more than 11,000 others injured. (T/P010/P3)
