Mahmoud Abbas Arrives in Sharm El- Sheikh for Third World Youth Forum

Sharm El-Sheikh, MINA – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived today in Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh to participate in the third edition of the World Youth Forum.

President Abbas was received at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport by Egyptian Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Ambassador of Palestine to Egypt and its permanent representative to the Arab League, Diab al-Louh, and the Consul General of Palestine in Alexandria, Hossam Al-Dabbas, WAFA reported.

Ambassador al-Louh said that President Abbas is scheduled to hold talks with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi on the sidelines of the forum’s activities.

He noted that both leaders will discuss the latest developments taking place in Palestine, especially the serious Palestinian approach to hold legislative and presidential elections.

The forum will officially kick off tomorrow, under the patronage of the Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, in the presence of 5000 youths representing different countries.

The young people they will discuss the prospects for sustainable development in Africa, challenges facing creative work in the age of technology, in addition to the energy sector between the Mediterranean countries and other issues.(T/R04/P2)
