King Salman Selected as the Islamic Personality of the Year
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Dubai, 9 Ramadan 1438/4 June 2017 (MINA) – The Organizing Committee of Dubai International Holy Quran Award announced today that it has chosen the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as the Islamic Personality for the year 1438 H.
The winning Islamic figure was announced at a press conference, organized by the committee, in the presence of its Chairman Counselor Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Malah, Vice Chairman, Organizing Committee members and media Representatives, SPA reported.
In a statement, the Organizing Committee said it has chosen the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in recognition of his great service, noble traditions and noble positions, his service for the Holy Mosques and the holy places, in addition to those for Muslims in general in the outskirts of the earth and the majority of the tender, as well as the development of the Islamic work that achieves the goals of the Islamic Shari’a.
The Committee stressed the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his care to make it easier for Hajj pilgrims and pilgrims to perform their rituals easily.
The Committee also cited the King’s preservation of the Arab and Islamic heritage, his constant efforts to collect the Arabs and Muslims words to meet the challenges and circumstances that afflict the Arab and Islamic nations, direct supervision of a number of charities to help the needy in the Arab Islamic countries and even throughout the world, and finally the establishment of Riyadh-based King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action and its generous support for the affected Arab and Islamic peoples.
