Jordan: Middle East Will Never Enjoy Peace Unless Palestinian Issue Solved
Istanbul, MINA – King Abdullah II of Jordan headed his country’s delegation at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) extraordinary meeting on Friday to discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian issue.
The summit discussed the moving of the US embassy to Jerusalem as well as the Israeli aggression against Palestinians in the Gaza strip, UNA reported.
King Abdullah II affirmed that the region “will never enjoy comprehensive peace unless the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is resolved according to international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.”
He stressed that Jerusalem is the key to peace to harmony, adding that “the sole path to peace is through ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 4 June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution.”(R/R04/RS5)
