Jordan and Indonesia Discuss Ties, Region
Amman, 04 Jumadil Akhir 1437/14 March 2016 (MINA) – Jordan’s Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour received here today Indonesia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi.
During the meeting, Ensour reiterated that the Palestinian issue is the Middle East’s core issue, warning that the lack of a just solution to it would feed extremist ideology, Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) quoted SPA as reporting.
The Indonesian minister said Indonesia viewed with deep concern the conflicts in the Middle East, stressing her county’s belief that extremism and terrorism have nothing to do with Islam.
Islamic countries, she stressed, should unite against the threat of terrorist organizations that do harm to the faith.
Foreign Minister Retno is in Jordan in preparation for the inauguration of the Honorary Consul of Indonesia in Ramallah.
But the opening and inauguration of the honorary consul had to do in Amman due to Israel’s refusal to grant permission to the minister flew to Ramallah. (T/R07/R01)
