Gaza, 23 Rabi’ul Akhir 1436/2 February 2016 (MINA) -A horde of Jewish settlers on Tuesday morning desecrated the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards under tight police protection.
According to eyewitnesses, about 117 settlers entered the Mosque through al-Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyard under the guard of special police forces, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
The eyewitnesses affirmed that some settlers tried to perform Talmudic rituals at the Mosque, but they refrained from doing so after Muslim worshipers intervened and interrupted them by loudly chanting religious slogans.
Meanwhile, the Israeli police persisted in banning certain Muslim women labelled as blacklisted from entering the Mosque.

The Israeli measure force these women to stage sit-ins every day at the Mosque’s gates.
In a related incident, Israeli policemen at al-Majles Gate of the Mosque physically assaulted today a number of Muslim women, who are not allowed by the police to enter the Islamic holy place, according to eyewitnesses.(T/P008/R07)
