ISRAEL ISSUES ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION ORDERS FOR 22 PALESTINIANS
Jerusalem, 30 Rabi’ul Awwal 1436/21 January 2015 (MINA) – Israeli authorities have issued administrative detention orders against 22 Palestinians, a rights group said Tuesday.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said that 17 of the prisoners had been issued administrative detention orders in the past, some of them two or three times.
Only five of the 22 prisoners are being issued such orders for the first time, Ma’an News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
Administrative detention is a policy by which Israeli authorities hold Palestinians in custody without charge or trial, sometimes indefinitely.
The prisoners were identified as:
- Mahmoud Badr Ikhleil, Hebron
- Omar Ahmad Awad, Hebron
- Saddam Moussa Dar Moussa, Ramallah
- Munir Mustafa Abu Sharar, Hebron
- Abdullah Muhammad Badwan, Ramallah
- Sharhabil Salman Hassouneh, Ramallah
- Suhaib Issa Marie, Tulkarem
- Mansour Mustafa Bani Odeh, Tubas
- Diyaa al-Din Ali al-Huroub, Hebron
- Rafat Jamil Nassif, Tulkarem
- Ibrahim Nour al-Din Sneif, Ramallah
- Abd al-Khaleq Hassan al-natsheh, Hebron
- Arqam Khalid Ahmad, Hebron
- Yousef Hassan Masalmeh, Hebron
- Shadi Ibrahim Bahr, Hebron
- Firas Zuhair Misk, Hebron
- Youssef Mahmoud Abu Maria, Hebron
