ISESCO Offers Condolences to Indonesia Over Lombok Island Quake Victims
Rabat, MINA – The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has conveyed its sincere condolences to Indonesia on the victims of the earthquake that struck the island of Lombok on Sunday.
The 6.9-magnitude quake has so far left more than 90 people dead and displaced many others, UNA reported.
In a statement on Monday, the Morocco-based Organization said that it shares the families of the victims their grief and sorrow, asking Allah Almighty to shower His mercy upon the dead and to grant the wounded a speedy recovery.
At least 105 people were killed and hundreds of others wounded as Sunday’s 7.0 magnitude quake destroyed thousands of houses and buildings mostly in Lombok Island of central Indonesia.(R/R04/RS5)
