INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC EXPO 2015 OPENS IN JAKARTA

Jakarta, 1 Safar 1437/13 November 2015 (MINA) – The International Islamic Expo 2015, an exhibition on Umrah and Hajj and Islamic tourist attractions at home and abroad, was opened by Saleh Partaona Daulay, the chairman of the House Commission VIII overseeing religion, social, and empowerment of women, at the Jakarta Convention Centre, on Friday.

The exhibition will take place over three days, from 13 to 15 November.

“I hope the organization of this event will be even better in the future, especially things related to services to the customers who will carry out Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage, “Saleh said in his opening speech.

Saleh said the House of Representatives and the government will issue a new regulation or improvement on the exisying law on organizing Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage next year.

“Therefore I ask for advice and inputs from friends and colleagues who are engaged in businesses like this for the perfection of the draft bill,” he said.

Saleh also said he hoped that this legislation could later actually protect the pilgrims and also for those who develop the business.

At the same occasion, the CEO Alia Convex, Anggito Abimanyu as the organizer of the exhibition, said he expects 30,000 visitors to come up during the three days of the exhibition.

“In 2014, total visitors attending the event during the three days expo amounted to 25,000 people of the
