Indonesia Nahdatul Ulama Reminds Muslims to Meditate on New Year 2019

Jakarta, MINA – The Executive Board of Nahdatul Ulama (PBNU) reminded Muslims to fill the turn of the new year’s 2019 by meditating on Allah.

“Certainly, PBNU always give appeal, both the turn of the Islamic year Hijriyah and Cristian’s new year.  So that the people of Indonesia, especially Muslims, would have a lot of faith in Allah,” Deputy Secretary General of PBNU, Masduki Baidlowi told Republika, Monday.

According to Baidlowi, Muslims can appeal to Allah SWT so that the year’s 2019, there will not any disasters that harm the nation.

Because of this, Masduki appealed to the Indonesian people, especially Muslims not to overfill the turn of the year by having fun. Although, celebrations that are fun in nature are not prohibited. “Although it is not prohibited, the main thing is to fill with spiritual activities with a lot of zikr and pursuing Allah,” said Masduki.

He let people to celebrate the New Year’s Eve with joy. However, it is good to be intended by thanking Allah SWT for various things that have been passed throughout the year.

“In the year 2019, May Allah gives blessings and mercy for us personally, and in our community,” he said. (LP/P2)
