INDONESIAN MUSLIMS : STOP ISRAELI BRUTALITY AGAINST PALESTINIANS
Jakarta, 16 Ramadan 1435/14 July, 2014 (MINA) – Hundreds of Indonesian Muslims demonstrated in Jakarta urging Israeli occupation troops to stop immediately their brutality and crimes against innocent Palestinian civilians in Palestine.
They urged Zionist Israelis to stop their aggression against Palestinians in a Long march action of Gaza solidarity coordinated by Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) in front of the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta, Sunday (13/7).
Secretary of Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) Agus Sudarmaji, in his oration said, brutality, crimes and tyranny committed by Israel could not be pardoned and tolerated.
“Indonesian Muslims have to oppose tyranny against our brothers in Gaza Strip,” said Agus, who is also Chairman of the Aqsa Working Group (AWG).
He also called on all Muslims in the world to boycott Israeli occupation products and the products of western companies that support Israel.
According to Agus, the solidarity actions for Palestine have to be intensified. Although it was raining during the demonstration was held, it did not loose our spirit.
“Our brothers were rained by bombs and all kinds of the most lethal weapons in Gaza today,” said Agus when he escorting long march action from the National Monumen field (Monas) to the U.S. Embassy.
We all see now that Palestinians were rained with weapons of mass destruction by Israel with help of the United States (U.S.). All were used in one purpose, for destroying Gaza, Palestine, said activist of the Global March to Jerusalem (GMJ).
“Israel occupation troops kill innocent Palestinian civilians brutally. They launched around 300 to 400 bombs this week. Do we tolerate it without protest and resistance? Let us prevent it by all means we can do, ” Agus added.
According to him, Muslims have to rise up from their daydream. First Israeli Prime Minister, David Ben Gurion claimed that our capital was not Tel Aviv, but Jerusalem. That is their goal. We must not be silent.
In the demonstration, the committee of Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) on behalf of Muslims submitted statements to police authority in Central Jakarta. Then the statement would be submitted to U.S. Embassy. At that time, the U.S. Embassy was in holiday.
The demonstrators involving hundreds of Muslims including children, from provinces of Jakarta, Banten, West Java and Lampung colored the protest action with various banners condemning Israel.
