Indonesian MER-C Condemns Destruction of Palestinian Settlements in Sur Baher
Jakarta, MINA – In connection with the destruction of Palestinian settlements in the village of Sur Baher, East Jerusalem by Israeli soldiers on Monday, July 22, Chairman of Medical Emergency Rescue-Committee (MER-C) Presidium Sarbini Abdul Murad, expressed his condemnation and invited the world to immediately stop Israeli savagery.
“We strongly condemn Israel’s actions to destroy Palestinian settlements. “We invite the world to take firm and concrete steps to stop the Israeli savagery which has violated international law many times,” Sarbini said.
According to him, Indonesia as a member of the UN Security Council could initiate an emergency meeting to stop Israeli savagery against Palestinians.
Earlier, it was reported that Israeli army destroyed Palestinian dwellings, which resulted in 16 buildings being destroyed, including more than 100 apartments and a number of Palestinians, including small children, were displaced and forcibly evacuated from the area. (T/Sj/P2)
