Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Receive Living Cost in Saudi Arabia Rp5.355.000

Jakarta, MINA – Indonesia’s hajj pilgrims this year will get living expenses during their stay in Saudi Arabia of Rp 5,355,000.

The fee was taken from the pilgrims’ registration fee of Rp 35,235,602 which they paid, then returned to the pilgrims for living expenses, said Arsyad Hidayat, an official at the Directorate General of Hajj and Umrah (PHU) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, in a statement received by the News Agency MINA (Mi’raj News Agency), Saturday (4/24/2018).

Actually, as mentioned by Directorate General of PHU, the real cost (cost) of Hajj trip of 2018 is Rp 62.942.447, -. But that is charged to the pilgrims on average Rp 35.235.602. There is an average subsidy of about Rp 27,706,845 which is given to each pilgrims taken from the optimization of hajj registration money.

Components of Haj operational costs sourced from BPIH paid by Haj pilgrims, among others are used for direct costs include airfare for deparure to Saudi Arabia and going home Rp27.495.842, -, Accommodation in Makkah Rp2.384.760, – and living cost Rp 5.355.000, -.

Also indirect costs in the form of domestic Service and Operational costs and in Saudi Arabia.

The government through the decision of President Joko Widodo has stipulated Decree No. 7 of 2018 dated 10 April 2018 on Hajj Operation Cost (BPIH) in 1439 H / 2018 M. according to the embarkation of each region.

The quota of Hajj pilgrims Indonesia this year amounted to 221 thousand. This number consists of 204 thousand for the regular Hajj pilgrims quota and 17 thousand untu quota of special pilgrims. (LT/R04/RS5)
