Indonesia Increases the Role of SMEs through INDHEX Halal 2018
Jakarta, MINA – The Food and Drug Research and Cosmetics Institute of the Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPOM MUI) continues to encourage the role of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to become strong economic actors to maintain the national food security.
“So far, the SMEs sector has no doubt. In the event of an economic crisis, small business actors actually appear as supporting the wheels of the economy, “The Director of LPPOM MUI Lukmanul Hakim said. This is the press statement received by MINA on Friday (10/19).
Therefore, to enhance the role of SMEs in the availability of food, especially halal food, LPPOM MUI took some steps that are deemed necessary. And of course, it cannot stand alone but must be supported by other relevant parties.
“SMEs is not only as the duty of the government but also as the State-owned enterprise and private companies. The duty can be varied, ranging from the ease of credit facilities with low credit interest, and used as fostered and others,” Lukmanul Hakim explained.
In this regard, LPPOM MUI in the 2018 Indonesia Halal Expo (INDHEX) carries the theme “Improving the Competitiveness of SMEs with Halal Certification” 2018 on 1 – 3 November 2018, in Jakarta.
