Bethlehem, 10 Rabi’ul Akhir 1437 / 20 January 2016 (MINA) –  A delegation from India visited the occupied Palestinian territory on Monday to meet with Palestinian officials, India’s representative office in Ramallah said.

The Representative Office of India said in a statement that the delegation was led by External Affairs Minister Smt Sushma Swaraj.

Swaraj met with Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al Malki and discussed issues relating to bilateral relations, current socio-political developments in the region, recent tensions, and issues related to the Middle East peace process.

The visit came after the President Shri Pranab Mukherjee visited the occupied Palestinian territory for the first time in October last year. (T/nrz/r07)
