Jeddah, 15 Dzulqa’dah 1436/30 Agustus 2015 (MINA) – Dr. Ahmed Mohammad Ali, president of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), announced on Thursday the price of coupon for sacrificial animal (Adahi) for the forthcoming Hajj that fixed at SR475 (US$ 131 or Euro 99).
The chief of IDB said that the Kingdom’s Sacrificial Meat Utilization Program, undertaken by IDB, is one of the services offered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to pilgrims in order to help them in performing their rituals”.
He added that the “Adahi” project is meant to serve the pilgrims by providing sheep and other animals that meet all Shariah and health requirements and by ensuring the cleanliness of the environment around the Holy Sites, IINA News quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
The Project aims at making the meat available to its rightful beneficiaries among the poor in Makkah as well as in many Muslim countries and Muslim communities all over the world.

Dr. Ali indicated that the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has spent over SR 1 billion on the modernized automatic slaughterhouses, which are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
He also said that people could purchase coupons through the Project website www.adahi.org for rites such as “Hady” or “Odhiya”, or “Sadaqa”, either through credit card or money transfer.
It is worthy to note that “Adahi” project, last year, recorded a utilisation of (960,829) livestock which were later distributed amongst the needy in 20 countries.(T/R05/R03)
