Gaza, 14 Muharram 1436 H/7 November 2014 M (MINA) – The Hamas confirmed that the occupied West Bank is a strategic reserve for the Palestinian resistance and the centre of the conflict with the occupier.

Fawzy Barhoom, the official spokesperson for Hamas, published a Facebook status yesterday evening declaring “all methods of repression and intimidation will not deter the Palestinian people from resisting the occupation no matter what the cost and sacrifices”.

He went on to call for more of these types of operations that would deter Israeli efforts in all parts of Palestine. Middle East Monitor (MEMO) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting, Friday.

The head of the Hamas bureau in Hebron commended what he called for a heroic resistance operation yesterday night where three Israeli soldiers were run over.

The Hebron operation came after an Israeli border patrol officer was killed and 14 others were injured by Hamas member Ibrahim Akkari from East Jerusalem, who was subsequently shot by Israeli police.

These operations are the result of the escalation of Israeli-induced clashes in the holy city, especially against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the repeated storming, assault and harassment of worshipers inside the mosque. (T/P002/P3)
