Hamas : Lebanon’s Isolation Wall Violates Right of Return

Beirut, 24 Safar 1438/24 November 2016 (MINA) – Hamas Movement’s representative in Lebanon Ali Baraka said that the construction of the isolation wall around Ein al-Hilwah refugee camp came in total violation of the Palestinian right of return.

The isolation wall would turn the refugee camp into a big prison and support the resettlement and rehabilitation solutions which denies the Palestinian right of return, he said.

“Our Palestinian people in Lebanon are totally adherent to their right of return,” he stressed, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

All the Lebanese security pretexts do not justify the construction of an isolation wall around the country’s largest Palestinian refugee camp, according to his statement.

Baraka called for a comprehensive Palestinian-Lebanese dialogue to discuss the common issues and interests between the two parties.

On the other hand, Baraka said that Israel’s Adhan ban bill constituted a part of its religious war against the Palestinian people and holy sites.

He called on Arab and Islamic nations to stand firmly against such Israeli decisions.

He also hailed the strong determination of Sheikh Raed Salah and all Palestinian prisoners.(T/P008/R07)
