Gaza, MINA – Palestinian movements Hamas and Fatah announced on Wednesday postponing the Palestinian government takeover of the Gaza Strip, KUNA reported.

This announcement was made during a press conference following an urgent meeting they held in Gaza Wednesday.

Fayez Abu Eita, member of Fatah Movement, said during the conference that Fatah and Hamas asked Egyptian authorities to defer the government takeover from December 01 to 10 for the purpose of accomplishing certain procedures that would guarantee successful reconciliation moves.

Both movements hailed the Egyptian efforts being exerted for achieving the Palestinian national reconciliation. (T/RS5/RS1)
