Stockholm, MINA – Protests and marches erupted across the globe this weekend as demonstrators condemned the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and called for immediate international action to stop the massacre of Palestinian civilians, Palestine Information Center reported.

In Stockholm, Sweden, hundreds gathered on Saturday, demanding that the Swedish government break its silence and intervene to halt Israel’s war crimes. Marching from Odenplan Square to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participants responded to a call from various civil society organizations. Protesters carried signs reading “Children are being killed in Gaza” and “Schools and hospitals are being bombed,” criticizing the government’s inaction.

Meanwhile, in Nouakchott, Mauritania’s capital, tens of thousands joined a massive march organized by political parties, including the ruling El Insaf party and the opposition National Rally for Reform and Development alongside numerous local organizations.

The demonstration began near the presidential palace and proceeded to the UN office under the slogan: “One Million Mauritanian Women to Stop the Killing of Gaza’s Women and Children.”

Protesters denounced global silence and urged international isolation and sanctions against Israel, asserting that the atrocities in Gaza reflect deliberate and criminal intent by Israeli leaders to commit mass murder against civilians.

In Tunis, Tunisia, dozens of activists gathered in front of the Municipal Theater on Saturday evening to protest the siege on Gaza and ongoing Israeli violations. Organized by the “Ansar Palestine” Association, the protest carried the slogan: “Genocide and Starvation Continue… The World Is Rising When Will You?”

Association board member Riadh Al-Zahafi stated that this was the 84th protest since the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023. The protest aimed to awaken the public to take action and show solidarity with the Palestinian resistance, including boycotting companies supporting Israel.

He condemned Israel’s continuous violations of humanitarian and international laws, describing their actions as surpassing all legal and ethical boundaries.
