Gaza, MINA – Hamas Islamic Resistance Movement announced on Monday that Egypt has succeeded in reaching a ceasefire between Israeli occupation and Palestinian factions in Gaza.

Hamas spokesman, Fawzi Barhoum told Quds Press the ceasefire began at 10 pm local time.

There was no confirmation from the Israeli occupation of ceasefire.

Earlier, Israeli warplanes launched a series of attacks on targets in Gaza Strip, which led to widespread damage.

Israeli occupation claimed that this attack occurred in response to a rocket launch from the Gaza Strip to the center of Israel, which wounded seven Israelis, including two injured. (R/Sjd/R04)
